SEASONS
SEASONS
Summertime has passed us by
Time for the birds to up and fly
To the sunny south away they go
Exactly where we do not know
It’s a sign of a new season to come
Back to school for everyone
The cool, crisp autumn air
With colourful trees everywhere
Shortened days and longer nights
Giving way to winter sights
Frosty days and fluffy snow
I await for spring this I know
Spring awakes from winter sleep
The returning birds’ babies peep
All are thankful that spring came
Signalling that summer will be here again
